Tracking a warm week ahead with a cooler weekend

Today: Calm winds continue out of the northeast at 3-6 mph. Late afternoon isolated showers develop after four leading to light sprinkles in some areas.

Tonight: Partly cloudy skies remain over Mid-Missouri with overnight lows cooling to the upper '30s.

Extended: Temperatures climb to near-record highs by Thursday with highs in the upper '60s and lower '70s across Central Missouri. Skies remain clear approaching Friday but then become partly cloudy mid-day Friday. An overnight cold-front Friday night leads to chances of scattered showers Saturday and Sunday with highs cooling to just under 50 degrees.
