Tracking a gloomy Thursday

cool and breezy
KMIZ

THURSDAY: Clouds have started to push back in this morning. Those will be here to stay for most of us into this afternoon. Those, along with a steady wind out of the northwest will keep highs from getting past the mid to upper 50’s.

TONIGHT: We’ll hang on to the clouds overnight, keeping us from getting any cooler than the low to mid 40’s.

EXTENDED: We’ll eventually get rid of the clouds on Friday. That will push highs back into the 60’s by the afternoon. We’re tracking a quick-moving disturbance flying by the viewing area. Showers look to stay just to our northeast Friday afternoon. A little more significant disturbance will bring back the rain chances Saturday. Showers and storms will spread northward as early as the afternoon on Saturday, but most of us will wait until the evening hours before seeing any raindrops. Those showers and storms will continue north Sunday morning, giving us a bit of a break during the day. Another round of showers and storms look to move in Sunday evening, however. Some dry time will build in Monday and Tuesday with highs in the upper 60’s and low 70’s. before our next system moves in midweek.
