Tracking a break from the rain today

TUESDAY: We’ll get off to a brighter start to the day this morning! Sunshine will help warm temperatures up after a chilly start into the mid to upper 70’s. Clouds will start to move in this afternoon into the evening.

TONIGHT: That’s ahead of our next storm system, which we’re set to deal with for a few days. The rain will hold off tonight until after midnight as lows bottom out in the low 60’s.

EXTENDED: A better chance for some storms will move in around daybreak tomorrow. These will be what’s leftover from severe weather expected over parts of Kansas and Oklahoma this evening that will move east. As they do so, they’ll lose steam and shouldn’t be threatening by the time they reach us. The threat for showers and storms will stay with us all the way through Friday afternoon as this system stalls out. We’ll top out in the upper 70’s tomorrow but gradually cool off into the mid 60’s by Friday afternoon. That cooler weather is here to stay for the weekend and we’ll kick the rain chances out by Friday night. Highs on Saturday and Sunday will stay in the 60’s with plenty of sunshine to soak up.
