Tracking showers and storms kicking off a soggy week

KMIZ

TODAY: Scattered showers and storms will be moving through this morning. Most, if not all, of these should behave but pockets of heavy rain and lightning will be expected. These will stay with us through mid-morning before tapering off into the early afternoon hours. Highs today will be stuck in the 60’s, with a breezy wind throughout the day.

TONIGHT: Skies will clear in the late afternoon hours, and stay clear overnight. That will lead to a chilly night, with lows falling into the low 50’s.

EXTENDED: We stay quiet on Tuesday with highs bouncing back into the mid to upper 70’s. Get out and enjoy it while it’s here! More showers and storms will push in early Wednesday and look like they’re here to stay through Friday. Severe chances look to be confined to Wednesday morning as these push back in, but overall are fairly low. The off-and-on rain and cooler air pushing in will drop highs from the upper 70’s on Wednesday into the 60’s by Friday. We dry out this weekend, but manage to hold on to the 60’s Saturday and Sunday.
