Tracking overnight storms with a late-week cool-down

Tonight: Showers and storms make their way into Central Missouri tonight with the possibility of a few strong to severe storms. Beginning at 10 pm tonight, showers and storms will push southeast bringing with it the threat of strong winds and flash flooding. Storms will push into Columbia between 12-2 am.

Tomorrow: Storms continue to push east into the morning hours as chances for severe storms diminish by the mid-morning hours for Central Missouri. Skies start to clear to the east by late afternoon as the high temperature peaks out at 68 degrees.

Extended: Tuesday remains mostly sunny warming back up into the upper '70s. By Tuesday night another approaching cold front will lead to overnight storms and showers which will linger into Thursday. Thursday, Central Missouri will see scattered showers with increasing chances by Thursday night. By Friday, the last cold front of the week leads to one more round of showers and clears out by the late afternoon. temperatures dramatically fall to the mid-'40s overnight Friday. A high-pressure system parks over Central Missouri next weekend with highs into the mid-'60s. Skies will become sunny for a great gameday at Mizzou.
