Tracking clear skies for the 4th of July

Independence Day: Another sunny day with highs in the upper 80s. The UV index is very high this afternoon - sunburn can take as little as 20 minutes when exposed. This evening will be perfect for fireworks with temperatures in the 70s by sundown, a little more humidity, and light wind.

Tomorrow: High pressure will continue to sit right on top of Mid-Missouri, bringing more dry and clear skies. Highs reach the low 90s.

Extended: By Tuesday, a cold front will waver to the north, possibly bringing rain chances by the late afternoon. This front finally pushes through in the afternoon on Wednesday for more widespread showers and storms. We're clear again until a storm complex approaches by Friday evening. These storms will push through overnight into Saturday and rain chances linger next weekend. Temperatures are expected to fluctuate between the upper 80s and low 90s all week.
