Tracking the return of quiet weather

drying

WEDNESDAY: After a foggy start for some, things look to clear out later in the morning. Rain chances this afternoon look to stay to the south, leaving partly cloudy skies overhead. Temperatures will top out in the upper 80’s to near 90. It will feel like the upper 90’s factoring in the humidity.

TONIGHT: Staying quiet overnight as temperatures back off to the low 70’s.

EXTENDED:  This boundary responsible for the rain the last few days is still around. This might trigger some isolated storms Thursday, but won’t be nearly as widespread. This might be the last meaningful shot at some rain for another decent stretch. An upper-level ridge will be getting comfortable again overhead, which will bring some warmer weather for the weekend. Friday will see temperatures starting to nudge into the low 90’s. Heat index values look to top out in the low 100’s Friday through Monday. Be sure to stay hydrated and take plenty of breaks if you have to be outdoors this weekend.
