Tracking more storm chances this morning
WEDNESDAY: Another round of storms is on its way this morning. A line of storms will slide southeast into the area, losing some of its organization. Could still see a few gusts of wind with these but mainly heavy downpours and thunder. These will exit off to our east early this afternoon, leaving us to warm up into the upper 80’s. Feels like temperatures could threaten the triple digits in some spots, so remember the water today.
TONIGHT: A few storms are possible again tonight, but many of us look to stay dry. Overnight lows will fall into the low 70’s.
EXTENDED: Moving forward, rain chances look to settle down but don’t completely disappear. Things in the big picture won’t change for a while. An upper-level ridge will keep any meaningful storm systems away but daily afternoon or evening storm chances are still possible. Highs will reach into the low 90’s on days we keep the rain away, with a heat index in the upper 90’s. This pattern looks to hold not only during this holiday weekend, but into next week.
