Tracking more sunshine to close out the week
FRIDAY: It will be a touch warmer this afternoon with highs getting into the upper 80's. A weak frontal boundary will slide into the viewing area. While a widely isolated shower or storm is possible, most will stay dry today.
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy skies stick around overnight with temperatures falling into the low 60's.
EXTENDED: High pressure in the Great Lakes region will deliver a reinforcing shot of some drier air for the weekend. Highs on Saturday will still get into the low 80's with plenty of sunshine. We'll be tracking a disturbance moving well to our northeast toward Sunday, but might be just close enough to influence our Sunday. Looks to only spill clouds into the area but overnight Sunday into Monday a few showers may clip our northeastern counties. Other than that, things look dry going forward, with things heating up toward the middle of the week. Highs will approach the upper 80's Tuesday through Thursday.
