Tracking a cooler week setting up

cool weather

TUESDAY: Lingering mist and drizzle will greet some of us out the door but should begin to move east by the mid to late morning. Rain chances may not go far for some folks east of HWY 63 as another disturbance slides south. Most of the showers will stay close to the Mississippi River and out of the area, but a few could clip our eastern counties. Otherwise, clouds will filter out this afternoon with some late day sun helping us into the low to mid 60's.

TONIGHT: Staying dry overnight under partly cloudy skies. Lows fall into the middle 40's.

EXTENDED: The widest-reaching weather story will be the cooler than average week with northwest flow dominating into this weekend. Highs just about each day will be in the 60's with overnight lows in the 40's, but visiting the 30's Friday night. A few rain chances will move through in that northwest flow, the first of which moves in Wednesday. Just some light showers at times are all that should be expected. A slightly better-built system moves through Thursday keeping rain chances around into Friday morning. The second half of Friday into Saturday is looking dry but could close out the weekend with yet another chance for rain.
