Valentine’s day warming

VALENTINE'S DAY: A lot of sunshine can be expected today across the area which will help to finally warm us up. Highs will stretch into the upper 20s and lower 30s throughout the afternoon.

TONIGHT: Any plans this evening look to be in some good shape, with overnight lows only falling into the low 20s thanks to winds out of the southeast.

EXTENDED: A warmer weekend is headed our way with both Saturday and Sunday warming well above freezing. Sunshine will be present both days with a few clouds scattered about, so keep your sunglasses nearby. We are tracking the possibility to see some rainfall as we start next week. We'll have to watch Tuesday with the return of cold air, and moisture attempting to make a push back into the viewing area. High pressure looks to do a good job at holding it up south of the viewing area, though. We will get back to reality with highs only in the 30s and 40s Tuesday and Wednesday.
