Amendment 6: Fees for law enforcement

MGN

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Amendment 6 would amend the Missouri Constitution to help boost funding for salaries and benefits for former and current law enforcement personnel.

The amendment would allow for costs and fees to be levied for current and former sheriffs, prosecuting attorneys and circuit attorneys. The ballot title says the financial impact on the state is not known.

There's not much to this amendment -- it was placed on the ballot by the General Assembly and the language runs less than two pages.

Fair ballot language
