Tracking clouds ahead of this week’s rain maker

TONIGHT: After a cool start this morning, temperatures are warming up into the mid-50's, with low 60’s expected before some late-day clouds move back in. These clouds won't bring any real threat of rain, but a few sprinkles are possible this evening.

WEDNESDAY: Thanks to clouds overnight, and some southerly flow ahead of our next storm system, temperatures early Wednesday will likely start a few degrees warmer. Wednesday also brings our next chance at appreciable rainfall. Showers and storms look to enter our western most counties by mid-morning at the earliest, with Columbia and Jefferson City seeing the best chance closer to mid-day or later.

EXTENDED: Rain chances continue through Friday. Highs on Wednesday will still make it into the 60’s before the rain returns but will be held in the low 50’s with a blustery north wind Thursday. Rain will depart by Friday afternoon as skies start to clear into the weekend. Afternoon highs in the middle 50’s Friday will warm into the low 60’s for Halloween weekend with the sunshine out in full force.
