Sunshine to return to mid-Missouri, warming trend on the way

THIS AFTERNOON: Spotty sprinkles and breezy conditions are likely through this evening. It will be chilly with temperatures holding in to low 50s.

TONIGHT: Those winds back off and rain chances leave us with the clouds cover beginning to pack up overnight. Lows fall into the middle 40's.

EXTENDED: After a cool start to the day Thursday, plenty of sunshine and highs in the upper 60's and low 70's will make up for it. Temperatures will keep climbing into Friday, into the low to mid 70's, but might come with a few more clouds. We're in the upper 70's and low 80's Saturday, but could move in some showers and storms by the afternoon. Rain looks like a better bet into Sunday, but neither day looks like a washout yet. Highs will be around 70 to close out the weekend and start next week.
