Tracking record breaking temps, strong winds, and spotty showers

TODAY: Moving to a high of 70 degrees, which is 3 degrees higher than the record temperature of 67 degrees for the day, which was set in 1984. We've already broken this high as of today, with the current temperature of 68. Strong wind gusts are living through the rest of the day as a lower pressure system moves over us. Possible sprinkles could be observed throughout the day, but mostly later in the night.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy, with our high dropping down to the mid 40's as a cold front moves over us. Winds will be mild as the lower pressure system moves out of our area.

EXTENDED: New Years Eve looks a little warmer with a high in the low 50's, but some spotty showers could be observed. As we move throughout the week, temperatures warm up a little more, with our highest temperatures for next week being observed on Monday. With that, widespread rain and thunder is possible throughout the day. Then, a cooldown trend is occurring as the week goes on, moving back down to average temperatures for this time of year.
