Tracking afternoon scattered showers before cool down

Today: Scattered showers remain throughout all of Central Missouri with some rumbles of thunder possible. Winds remain gusty out of the southwest gusting up to 25 mph. Afternoon highs warm into the lower 50s.

Tonight: Scattered showers begin to push to the east after 10 pm allowing for drier conditions. Winds remain out of the southwest leading to warmer overnight lows reaching just under 40 degrees.

Extended: Thursday begins the dramatic cool down as winds switch back out of the north leading to highs heading into the weekend back into the mid-30s with drier conditions. Next Monday and Tuesday sees a return of moisture back to Mid-Missouri with the possibility of a wintry mix. Currently this system is very far out and data is not very accurate so the precipitation that falls is still in question.
