Tracking a steep late week cooldown

Today: Afternoon highs warm to the upper 70s thanks to a return of winds out of the southeast. Skies remain mostly sunny.

Tonight: Overnight lows cool to the upper 40s before an advancing cold front moves from the northwest over Mid-Missouri. Skies become partly cloudy after midnight.

Extended: Temperatures cool dramatically Wednesday night into Thursday with the assistance of multiple cold fronts. Wednesday more can see some isolated light showers with some areas seeing just under0.10" inches of rainfall. Friday night into Saturday morning spells cooler temperatures into the mid-30s leading to the chance for frost. Highs slowly warming into the second half of the weekend approaching next week.
