Tracking continued warmth into the beginning of meteorological winter

TODAY: We'll see clearing skies into the morning. Partly cloudy skies return this afternoon. Temperatures will climb back into the 60s today.

TONIGHT: Skies remain mostly clear, temperatures drop into the mid-40s.

EXTENDED: It's a warm start to meteorological winter with temperatures climbing near 70 on Thursday! A front to our north will stall out on Friday and shift our winds back north, so that will bring us down a couple degrees, but it's looking mild through the rest of the work week. There will be a system moving to our south on Friday night that could add a few clouds and bring some light showers to southern MO, but we're looking mainly dry with scattered clouds going into Saturday. Another upper level wave will send a disturbance through the area on Saturday into Sunday, bringing rain chances on Sunday. Temperatures will fall into the lower 50s for the weekend, which is just above average for the first few days of December. Cooler weather returns early next week.
