Tracking warmer than average days ahead

SATURDAY: Brrr! It was a cold start this morning, but temperatures have really rebounded this afternoon. As of this writing, Columbia Regional Airport has recorded 50 degrees twice in the last two hours. Temperatures late tonight will drop into the mid-30's by early Saturday. South winds, and some sunshine gets temperatures up to near 60 for Saturday afternoon.

SUNDAY: A wind shift will come on Saturday, that will bring northerly flow into the evening and overnight. It's not a big temperature swing though, as Sunday's highs climb back to another seasonable 50 degrees. Skies stay dry this weekend.

EXTENDED: After a brief dip in temperatures on Sunday, our warmer than average trend resumes. Overall, next week looks to stay at least a few degrees warmer than average each day. Monday, we see temperatures attempt to reach 60. Weak upper level waves will try to drop temperatures slightly through midweek, but by the end of the work week we may very well be pushing low 60's.
