Tracking chilly rain the next few days

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with lows near 50. Getting breezy with winds up to 30 mph out of the south.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy and breezy with highs in the lower 60s. Rain moves in by late afternoon.

EXTENDED: Clouds start moving in tonight, keeping temperatures trapped around 50 degrees overnight. Tomorrow is breezy and cloudy with rain moving in by mid-late afternoon from the west as our next strong low pressure system works in from the Plains. We won't have the same ingredients to work with as we did over the weekend, and with minimal instability I am not expecting many thunderstorms outside of a few rumbles of thunder. That said, rain doesn't let up much until midday or afternoon on Friday, keeping us chilly and breezy as the low sits over us through the end of the week. Rain amounts will likely end up between 1-2" total, and gusty winds will make things chilly as highs only reach the low 50s Thursday and Friday. The good news is that this low exits just in time for the weekend with sunshine expected Saturday and Sunday. Weekend temperatures will be in the low 40s in the mornings and in the upper 50s to around 60 in the afternoon. Next week looks cooler as another cool air mass moves in from the north, potentially bringing another round of rain late Monday into Tuesday, and dropping temperatures into the upper 40s for highs.
