Rain ripples back into mid-Missouri this evening

THIS AFTERNOON: Clouds will build back into mid-Missouri this afternoon and evening. Rain will begin falling near HWY 65 around 2pm. It will approach the HWY 63 corridor by 4pm. Most of mid-Missouri will see steady rain fall this evening into the overnight hours.

TONIGHT: Showers stick around before moving east shortly after daybreak Friday. A few rumbles of thunder are possible. Lows will dip into the upper 40's.

EXTENDED: Once rain slides east, clouds look to be quick to move out after. A return to sunshine is expected Friday afternoon, but will be accompanied by some breezy conditions. Temperatures look to be stuck in the upper 50's to close out the week. That cold afternoon combined with mostly clear skies overnight and calming winds will lead to one of the coldest nights we've seen in a few weeks. Lows look to fall into the middle 30's, with some lower-lying areas touching the freezing mark. Quiet weather kicks off the weekend Saturday with highs in the low 60's, with some slight rain chances moving in Saturday night. These don't look like they'll affect any Mother's Day plans any sprinkles moving out after daybreak on Sunday. You'll have partly cloudy skies and highs in the low 60's to celebrate Mom. Cool pattern will stick around into the beginning of next week.
