Rain and snow tonight leads to slick spots Thursday morning
TONIGHT: Rain and snow will change over to snow tonight. Accumulations will be light, and mostly stick to grassy/elevated surfaces, but some slick spots have a higher chance of happening as the sun goes down overnight. For that, we've issued a Weather Alert Day as hazardous road conditions are possible for the morning commute.
THURSDAY: Snow will change to rain near lunch Thursday morning, before tapering off to drizzle through the early evening. Temperatures will hover near freezing.
EXTENDED: Snow is expected to ramp up Thursday night into Friday. It could be heavy at times. Another Weather Alert Day is in effect for Friday as steady accumulating snow is possible, especially for the morning commute. Snow may last into the afternoon Friday, furthering accumulations. 2-5" of additional snow accumulations are possible into Friday afternoon. Some isolated spots may see more. By this weekend, we're expected to melt most of the snow as temperatures get back above freezing, especially Sunday.
