Road crews preparing ahead for the weekend’s winter weather

COLUMBIA, MO (KMIZ) Road crews across Mid-Missouri started pretreatment of priority routes ahead of the anticipated winter weather. Columbia Public Works began pretreatment of main roads Friday and plans to continue pretreatment ahead of the snow Saturday morning. Tracking remaining snowfall

THURSDAY: Rain has moved back in well ahead of our next cold front we’re tracking for this afternoon. Temperatures will start out in the 40’s this morning before slipping into the 30’s behind the front. Most of this looks to fall as liquid, but once the front moves through this afternoon, we’ll changeover to some snow.
