Tracking mild Wednesday followed by rain and cooler temperatures Thursday

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy with patchy fog developing. Lows in the mid-upper 20s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and breezy with highs in the low 50s.

EXTENDED: Clouds move in tomorrow night ahead of our next front that will bring rain on Thursday, and perhaps a few light scattered snow showers late Thursday afternoon (no impacts expected). By Thursday night, we fall off into the low 20s to start off on Friday. We end the week dry with highs near 40 on Friday afternoon.

A clipper system will slide in from the northwest on Saturday, bringing a chance for snow showers by Saturday afternoon. With cold temperatures locked in the upper 20s, no mixed precipitation is expected. Depending on how quickly this system moves, we could end up with light accumulation into Saturday evening. Right now, of more concern will be the winds and the big temperature drop Saturday night. Winds will gust from the northwest up to 25 mph. Air temperatures Saturday night fall into the low single digits with wind chills anywhere from -5 to -10 degrees below zero. As temperatures get into the mid-teens Sunday afternoon, the wind chill will range between about 0 and 5 above. We fall back into the low single digits Sunday night with wind chills a degree or two below zero on Monday morning.
