Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is no longer just a phenomenon in the football world. The future hall of famer's fame reached new heights through the 2023 NFL season thanks to his family and, funny enough, his relationship.

It's rare that any player's relationship becomes one the major storylines of a season, but it's difficult to tell the story of the 2023 Kansas City Chiefs, without talking about Kelce and pop star Taylor Swift.

Their relationship has not only brought new fans to KC, but to football in general. Reports said that Swift's mere presence at games brought in more than $330 million for the National Football League. As a result, Kelce and Swift have become a worldwide spectacle, as the singer consistently attended the tight end's games this season.

Players and coaches emphasized that the media frenzy around the couple has not been a distraction throughout the season. Kelce left the outside world at the door when he entered the KC facilities each day.

It was a massive focus for the media, however, through thfirst four days of the Super Bowl LVIII hoopla in Las Vegas. From the start of Super Bowl week to it's finish, Kelce was peppered with question after question about the pop sensation.

"She's unbelievable. She's rewriting the history books, herself," Kelce said on Opening Night. "I told her I'll have to hold up my end of the bargain and come home with some hardware too."

Of course, the tight end has written his fair share of history, as well. The Ohio-native really turned it on in the 2023 postseason, even breaking hall of famer Jerry Rice's career playoff receptions record, with 156 in Kelce's time in the league. He finished the regular season with more than 980 receiving yards and five touchdowns on 93 receptions.

Kelce first came into a bigger spotlight during Kansas City's Super Bowl LVII campaign. One year ago, in Phoenix, Kelce and his older brother Eagles center Jason Kelce became the first brothers to face off in a Super Bowl in NFL history. From that point on, the Kelce's became one of the most beloved families in America, with the fame even reaching their mom, Donna.

Travis and Jason blew up during the offseason with the continuation for their 'New Heights' podcast. The duo talks about everything from football to life to Taylor Swift and has continued to grow it's audience, as the episodes continued throughout this historic season.

On Sunday, the 34-year-old will look for his third ring in the Chiefs' match up with the San Fransisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium.

"I want this one more than I've ever wanted a Super Bowl in my life," he said.

Kelce will look to cap off an unusual season in Kansas City with a ring on his finger and a Lombardi Trophy in the air on Sunday. Kickoff at Allegiant Stadium is set for 5:30 p.m. CT.
