QUESTION OF THE DAY: Are new SNAP verification rules necessary protection or an undue burden

Missouri will implement new rules for people receiving Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits this fall.

Starting Oct. 1, SNAP recipients will have to provide documented proof of things like housing costs, childcare costs and assets such as money in a bank account. Advocates for SNAP recipients say the requirements create an unfair burden on working families.
