Three brothers, eight seasons of Blair Oaks football
WARDSVILLE, Mo (KMIZ)
Blair Oaks said a group of brothers have not only brought successful seasons to the Falcons, but an attitude to live by.
Falcons coach Ted LePage said the Hair siblings bring a very specific type of leadership to the table.
"They've all given humility first and service of others. When you talk about leaders, you want to be a servant leader," he said. "These guys are quiet, they go about their business, but they've got an incredible competitive streak in them."
The upcoming season will be the eighth with a Hair at quarterback.
It all started with Jordan Hair back in 2013 and then the middle brother, Nolan, took over in 2016.
Finally, in 2019, Dylan Hair took over as a freshman behind center
LePage said while the brothers have their similarities, there are definitely some noticeable differences.
"When I had Nolan, he was a little more dynamic in his personality," he said. "Dylan doesn't do that. Dylan is more laidback, I'm going to let things happen, but he's just as competitive."
LePage said Dylan has already grown the offense with his knowledge of the game.
"That being said, every single one of his receivers returns, so he's got all that back with him. There's a great relationship between them," he said.
As for what fans can expect from the six-time conference champions as a whole: LePage said it's a lot of the same they're used to seeing.
"They're going to see eleven green hats, when they go out on the football field, play with extreme passion and extreme heart," he said.
