Robin Pingeton makes first portal pick up of the offseason

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou women's basketball coach Robin Pingeton made her first offseason addition from the transfer portal Tuesday picking up forward Angelique Ngalakulondi from UMass.

The 6-foot-2 senior has spent four seasons in Massachusetts where her minutes have went up each season. In her senior campaign, Ngalakulondi appeared in 33 games, starting in 30 for the Minutewomen. She ranked first in the Atlantic 10 in field goal percentage with 56.6% averaging 7.7 points per game and 5.7 rebounds per game.

Mizzou struggled in the paint last season and after losing forward Jayla Kelly to the portal earlier this month, the addition is much needed.

Ngalakulondi recorded four double-double last season. She had a career-high 21 points at Arizona State, including a career best 10 field goals made.
