Tracking sunshine and warmth to start next week

TONIGHT: Saturday night will be another chilly one, with lows dipping into the low 30s again. Another freeze is possible, with the surface high pressure shifting only slightly in the last 24 hours. Still, this morning's freeze ended the growing season, so do not expect any more freeze alerts from Boone County to the north and east. A frost advisory is in place for areas that didn't freeze this morning.

TOMORROW: Starting cold, south wind will have to work overtime to get us into the 60s on Sunday. Low 60s are forecast with southwest flow and mostly sunny skies early, but a weak shift to north winds may trap some in the 50s.

EXTENDED: Southerly winds are more consistent through the first half of next week. Highs are forecast in the 60s until a cold front on Wednesday drops high temperatures into the 50s at the end of the week. Sunny skies are expected each day, with only a few clouds likely on Wednesday and Thursday.
