Royals fall to Orioles after taking an early first inning lead; series ends 2-1

BALTIMORE, Md. (KMIZ)

The Kansas City Royals got the first run of the game Monday afternoon in Baltimore but didn't score after that. The Orioles took the game with a 6-1 win and clinched the series 2-1.

The Royals only run was drove in by a single to right field from Ryan O'Hearn.

After that, the O's scored six runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. Two runs came in on a pair of errors from the Royals after an overthrow on the steal to second and a pass ball.

Baltimore will travel to St. Louis to take on the Cardinals Tuesday at 6:45 p.m.

Kansas City will stay on the road and play the Texas Rangers Tuesday at 7:05 p.m.
