Four-star Aidan Shaw re-opens recruitment; gets release from Mizzou
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
Mizzou's highest ranked recruit since 2018, Aidan Shaw, announced that he will be re-opening his recruitment and dropping his pledge to Mizzou on Thursday. The news comes just a week after MU parted ways with former head coach Cuonzo Martin.
In a tweet Shaw said, "Thank you Mizzou, the coaching staff, team, and fan base for all the love I have received throughout my recruitment process. Due to recent events and with the support of my family, I have requested and received my release from the University of Missouri in order to reopen my recruitment."
The four-star recruit had originally picked Mizzou over the likes of Kansas, Oklahoma State, and Arkansas.
Shaw is the second loss for the Tigers since the University fired Martin, as former MU guard Anton Brookshire entered the transfer portal on Tuesday.
