Voter registration for April 6 election ends Wednesday
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Mid-Missouri residents interested in voting in the April 6 school and municipal election will have to register by Wednesday.
Boone County residents can register to vote at the Boone County Government Center located at 9th and Ash streets in Columbia from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. They can also visit the city clerk offices in Ashland, Centralia, Hallsville, Rocheport and Sturgeon. There is also the option to register to vote online here.
Polling locations will be open at 6 a.m. on April 6 and will close at 7 p.m.

On the ballot, residents can vote for board of education positions, city council spots, and some cities like Centralia and Rocheport are voting for a mayor.
Board of alderman positions, board of trustees, and sales tax increases or bond agreements are also on some ballots.

Absentee voting is underway if you don't think you'll be able to make it to a polling place on Election Day.
Residents can apply for an absentee ballot here. Residents have until March 24 to apply but this time around can't use COVID-19 as the reason to vote absentee.
