I-70 lane closure in Kingdom City announced for this weekend

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

 A lane closure on Interstate 70 in Kingdom City will occur this weekend, according a Tuesday press release from the Missouri Department of Transportation.

Crews are continuing to remove the railroad bridge just west of Highway 54, the release says. One lane of the east- and westbound lanes near the exit will be closed from 7 p.m. Friday-6 a.m. Sunday.

The release says this work is part of the Improve I-70 Project, which will make Interstate 70 a three-lane highway across the entire state.
