COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The removal of toll booths on Route MM in Camden County will begin next week, according to a press release from the Missouri Department of Transportation.

Lane closures will be required as contractors begin removing the booths on Monday. The project is expected to be completed by May 1, the release says.

Traffic signals will be utilized in March to narrow the route to one while maintaining two-way traffic, the release says. Route MM is expected to stay open for the entire project, the release says.

Toll collection for the bridge ended last year.
