Toll to be removed from Lake of the Ozarks Community Bridge by April 30

SUNRISE BEACH, Mo. (KMIZ)

Tolls will no longer be collected on the Lake of the Ozarks Community Bridge, according to a Monday press release from the Lake of the Ozarks Community Bridge Transportation Development District.

The tolls will stop being collected by April 30, when Community Bridge TDD expects to “fully pay all outstanding mortgage bonds and all other remaining and /or anticipated liabilities,” the release states. Once the debt is paid off, the bridge will be owned and maintained by the state with no tolls, the release states.

The release states the bridge is becoming toll-free about two years ahead of schedule. The Community Bridge connects the east and west sides of the Lake of the Ozarks near the 16-mile marker of the main channel of the Lake of the Ozarks.
