Man seriously hurt in Camden County crash

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 23-year-old Potosi man was flown to the hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Camden County just before 4 p.m. Thursday.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the crash involved a motorcycle and a truck. An 88-year-old Sunrise Beach man was driving a 1990 Chevrolet Silverado on Oakbend Road at Irish Dr. when he made a left turn and crashed into a Kawasaki Motorcycle, driven by the 23-year-old.

The report says vision for both drivers was hindered by a hillcrest at the time of the crash.

The 23-year-old was flown to University Hospital with serious injuries. The 88-year-old man was not hurt.

The motorcycle was totaled. The truck had minor damage and was driven from the scene.

It is unknown if the 23-year-old was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The 88-year-old was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
