73-year-old woman injured in Phelps County crash

ROLLA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 73-year-old Owensville woman suffered serious injuries in a Wednesday crash in Phelps County that occurred on Route E near Route Y, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

According to the report, Jane Leimkuehler was heading northbound on Route E in her 2016 Jeep Cherokee. The crash occurred when the Jeep went off the right side of the road, hit a ditch, hit a tree, overturned multiple times and ejected Leimkuehler, the report states. She was taken to Phelps Health Hospital by ambulance, the report states.

She was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the report. A family member told ABC 17 News that she was wearing a seatbelt.
