MOKANE, Mo. (KMIZ)
A 77-year-old man died Monday after a front-end loader fell into a pond at Belle Isle Park, according to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Joseph Richner was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:12 p.m. by the South Callaway Fire District chief.
The crash occurred as a Ford 770A – driven by Richner – got to close to the edge of the pond and overturned, according to the report.
He was not wearing a safety device.
