Tracking a warm Halloween alongside a few light showers

TODAY: Clouds are increasing on Friday, leaving us with a few breaks in the clouds at best. We expect mostly cloudy skies. We have some showers north of us early this morning, but most have, and will likely remain, dry. We'll keep a low chance for showers today, as some spotty showers may develop in the northern half of the region, as far south as I-70, through the midday hours. Still, most are dry today.

TONIGHT: An upper-level wave moves in from the west this evening, driving shower chances upward through the overnight hours.

EXTENDED: On Saturday, off and on light showers will likely be scattered across the region. This keeps low rain chances in the forecast through the day, with a slight increase in chances by the evening. Still, there will be dry time, but timing it will be tough until the day of. We expect any rain that falls to be light, with totals likely less than a quarter inch. Showers will taper off on Sunday morning, leaving us mostly cloudy and possibly wet to start the day. More rain is expected Monday and Tuesday, alongside better winds, as a stronger low-pressure system moves into the region. Highs in the low 70s are expected Saturday through Tuesday afternoons, with a return to the 60s by the middle of next week. During trick-or-treat hours on Saturday evening, temperatures are likely in the upper 60s.
