Two suffer serious injuries in Cole County crash

CENTERTOWN, Mo. (KMIZ)

Two people suffered serious injuries in a Cole County crash on Wednesday on Highway 50 at Route U near Centertown.

The crash occurred as a 2023 Subaru Forrester – driven by Martha Oesterly, 81, of Jefferson City – pulled into the path of a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox – driven by Michael Stark, 43, of Jefferson City -- that was heading eastbound, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

Both drivers were brought to University Hospital by ambulance. Oesterly was wearing a seatbelt, Stark was not, the report states.

Both vehicles were totaled.
