Woman dies in Cole County crash
EUGENE, Mo. (KMIZ)
A 52-year-old Iberia woman died Friday in a one-vehicle crash on Highway 17 at North Street near Eugene.
Johnna S Horne was pronounced dead at the scene by Cole County Sheriff John Wheeler, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.
The crash occurred as Horne’s 2007 Ford Edge was heading south on Highway 17 and went off the right side of the road, according to the report. The vehicle hit an embankment, became airborne, hit a tree and overturned.
Horne was taken to Freeman Mortuary Funeral Home in Jefferson City. She was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the report.
The Ford was totaled.
