COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

One man suffered minor injuries Wednesday after two tractor-trailers crashed in the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 near Rangeline Road.

The crash occurred after a 2023 Freightliner Cascadia – driven by Sergia Kazalinskii, 41, of Hallandale, Florida – rear-ended a 2020 Freightliner Glider – driven by Rahmorol R Page, 51, of Ozark, Missouri – in slow-moving traffic due to inclement weather, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

Page had minor injuries and was brought to Boone Hospital by ambulance. It is unknown if he was wearing a seatbelt. Kazalinskii had no injuries and wore a seatbelt, according to the crash report.

An ABC 17 News reporter saw the front end of one of the trucks smashed up and the windshield busted open. First responders temporarily closed the driving lane. The passing lane remained open.

Inclement weather quickly went through Mid-Missouri on Wednesday afternoon, but the storm did some damage to the area, including knocking out power to more than a combined 2,900 customers in Boone and Callaway counties.
