One person injured in Highway 63 crash

BOONE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

One person was hospitalized with moderate injuries Wednesday after a wreck on Highway 63 in Boone County.

It happened just before 5 p.m. in the southbound lanes near Mt. Pleasant.

According to a crash report, a tractor trailer driven by 47-year-old Franciscoa Eloisa, of Texas, crossed into the path of a 2014 Buick Lacrosse.

The car, driven by 42-year-old Douglas Hooper, of Camdenton, struck the side of the trailer. Troopers said that Hooper was taken to University Hospital in Columbia with moderate injuries.

According to the crash report, Hooper was wearing a seat belt.
