Wrong-way crash on I-70 leaves three hurt in Callaway County

CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A driver going the wrong way on Interstate 70 in Callaway County was seriously hurt after crashing into a pickup truck.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol crash reports, Columbia woman Linda Hoaglin, 68, was driving her SUV eastbound in the westbound lanes of I-70 Sunday night.

Hoaglin crashed into a pickup truck shortly after 9 p.m. Sunday near the Boone-Callaway county line.

Joseph Wimberly, 45, was driving the pickup truck. The man from Odessa, Missouri, suffered moderate injuries. A passenger in the truck had minor injuries.

Troopers say all three people were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. Emergency medical crews transported them to University Hospital in Columbia.
