Tracking strong storms with wind and heavy rain tonight

TONIGHT: Warm and muggy with storms moving in late. Some storms could be severe with damaging winds and hail. Lows in the upper 60s.

TOMORROW: Partly cloudy with scattered strong storms possible. Highs in the upper 70s.

EXTENDED: A more organized line of storms moves in late tonight from the west, bringing the threat of damaging winds and quarter size hail, along with heavy rain. We could see 1-2", especially west of Highway 63. Storms look to move in late, likely after 10PM, and lose steam through morning. Morning clouds and rain could keep us a bit more stable early tomorrow, but if all of that begins to clear early in the day, we'll see a chance at scattered strong to severe storms by late afternoon Wednesday, potentially followed by a line of severe storms after sunset that could bring widespread damaging winds and perhaps some large hail. Severe weather trails off after midnight on Wednesday, leaving us with a dry and warm Thursday. Friday is another Weather Alert Day for the potential of severe storms with all hazards possible by evening along a cold front. The timing of the cold front will be a key player in the severity of storms on Friday. The weekend will be much cooler as rain exits, as highs only reach the low 60s. Next week will finally bring a cool down with highs in the lower 70s and sunshine.
