A Boone County prosecutor filed a murder charge against a woman accused of a fatal hit-and-run crash Tuesday night.

Boone County prosecutor Kristen Mengwasser said she filed a count each of second-degree murder, driving while intoxicated involving the death of another and leaving the scene of an accident against 36-year-old Amy Rievley.

Rievley was originally charged with leaving the scene of an accident and driving while intoxicated after she was accused of crashing into 74-year-old Sharon Uebinger.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report said Uebinger died Wednesday afternoon after she was seriously hurt in the crash around 7:15 p.m. the night before.

Troopers said she was walking along Lakeview Avenue when she was hit. According to the report, Rievley went off the side of the road, made a u-turn and left the scene. She was later arrested in Howard County.

Boone County Jail records said Rievley was held in jail custody without bond as of Thursday afternoon.
