City of Columbia services, office hours affected by Labor Day holiday

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

City of Columbia offices will be closed for Labor Day, with some services affected as well.

The city council will meet Tuesday instead of Monday, according to a Facebook post from the city.

Curbside trash and recycling won't be picked up Monday, and it will be delayed by a day. The landfill is also closed for the holiday.

Public transportation, including fixed bus routes, Paratransit and MU Tiger Line, won't be running, but city parking will be free for the holiday.

The Columbia/Boone County Health Department will be closed and will reopen normally Tuesday.

The Activity and Recreation Center will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the Albert-Oakland Family Aquatic Center will open at noon and close at 5 p.m.

All Daniel Boone Library locations will be closed Sunday and Monday.
