Woman seriously hurt after single car crash early Sunday

COOPER COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A South Carolina woman was seriously hurt after a crash in Cooper County early Sunday morning, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

According to the report, the crash happened at 1:10 a.m. on I-70 near the 87.2-mile marker. Lilierth Arenas Luna was driving a 2015 Hyundai Veloster when it went off the right side of the road, hit a guardrail and flipped over.

Arenas Luna was taken to University Hospital by Cooper County EMS with serious injuries. The Veloster was totaled and towed away.

According to the report, Arenas Luna was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
