Lake St. Louis man killed in Montgomery County crash

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Lake St. Louis man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Montgomery County Sunday night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the crash happened on Westbound I-70 at the 181-mile marker at 10:34 p.m.

Troopers say Joshua Jenkins, 21, was driving in the left lane of Westbound I-70 when his vehicle went off the left side of the highway and hit a median. Jenkins then overcorrected and skidded off the north side of the road and hit several trees.

According to the crash report, Jenkins was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

This is Troop F's first fatality for the month of May and 14th in 2024.
