Police scene blocks some lanes near downtown Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ) -

First responders blocked some lanes of traffic on Providence Road Thursday night while investigating.

ABC 17 News saw at least six Columbia Police Department cars and a Missouri State Highway Patrol car in the northbound lanes of Providence Road at the intersection of Broadway around 11 p.m. The law enforcement vehicles surrounded a black SUV in the right-hand turn lane from Providence Road onto Broadway.

An MU Health Care ambulance was also on scene. First responders had cleared the scene by 11:20 p.m.

ABC 17 News has asked Columbia police for more details about the scene.
